Higher School of Cultural Assets Conservation and Restoration of Galicia

The Higher School of Cultural Assets Conservation and Restoration of Galicia is a public centre dependent on the Galician Government, it is the only centre in Galicia that provides this diploma, equivalent for all purposes to a University Degree.

It was opened in 1991, being the oldest one in Spain after the one in Madrid, developing its activity not only as a centre for training and directing intervention in cultural assets but also as a centre for advice and disclosure, becoming a fundamental pillar for the preservation of our material heritage.

Three specialities are taught at this centre: conservation and restoration of archaeological materials, sculptures and paintings.
